The growth and development at the College has
been phenomenal and we proudly boast over
400 past learners (2000 – 2012). By estimation,
we should have 1000 past learners by 2017. It
is important that we continue to value all our
Parklands College Alumni.
Past learners are responsible for extending the
Parklands College ethos beyond Secondary
education. This is key to continued pride in, and
support of, this fine institution in the community,
province, country and the international arena.
It should be our aim not only to promote our
legacy
to prospective and current learners, but to
past learners as well, as they can, in turn, promote
the College in other spheres.
The College would like to achieve this by creating
and nurturing a healthy relationship with its past
learners: the Parklands College doctors, lawyers,
engineers, pilots, actors, dancers, educators,
scientists, musicians, artists, architects, plumbers,
electricians, politicians, landscapers and sport
heroes.
The PCA is keen for the College to follow
the successes, achievements, challenges and
celebrations of its past learners, while these past
learners continue to support the College and
network with each other, attend reunions and
promote the College.
The College would like to update and verify all
records of our past learners, making personal
contact to ensure that a platform is created for a
meaningful long-term relationship.
We look forward to many future generations of
blue-blooded Parklands learners and encourage
all Past Learners to join the
Parklands College

As a past learner of any school, coming back to work
at one’s old stomping ground is an interesting thing to do,
and at times, not always one’s first choice of career path.
However, at Parklands College, it seems to have become
somewhat of a popular trend. With six past learners
now being employed by the College, it strongly reflects
the results of the College’s aims to create, nurture and
restore a healthy relationship with its past learners.
