Mobile Application Development (MAD) Studios & Girls in Tech
“MAD Studios” and “Girls in Tech” are Parklands College and Christopher Robin Pre-Primary initiatives to develop learner entrepreneurs who can solve real community challenges through the development of free software applications.
Our learners have developed 11 Apps in total which are available on the Apple App Store. There have been over 121000 downloads of our Apps from the Apple App Store.
Afrikaans Simple Learning
Explore the world around you in Afrikaans! With areas like farms and cities this app offers a simple yet fun approach to learning essential Afrikaans vocabulary that one would need if growing up in an Afrikaans speaking environment in a fun way. Whether you’re using the app for a young one or wanting to learn the language yourself our app is a must have!

Simple Learning Time is a supplementary tool that can be used to teach a student how to tell the time under the guidance of a teacher or parent.

Safer Web is a free wrapper app that makes the online kid safe search engine, Kiddle.co, its home page. The app ensures safe browsing by blocking any web searches, websites or adverts that match any restricted keywords identified when following links that take you out of Kiddle.co.
Touch Base
TouchBase is an app that mobilizes and fosters real change by inspiring action from everyday citizens.
This end user mobile application lists any Non Profit Organisations (NPOs) that register on the platform.
These organisations can then list their needs for volunteers and/or donations on their NPO profile. The
interface consists of a world map that indicates your location and any registered NPOs close to you. In
short, TouchBase is a global directory of Non Profit Organisations (NPOs).

Wrapper for Britannica which ensures safety on the internet for children from Pre-K and up and peace of mind for teachers and parents.
