This year has been a very difficult
one as we have mourned the loss of
a very special member of our College
family. Connor Gerber, in Grade Six,
passed away on 19 April 2013 after a
long struggle with cancer. A tenacious
and very special young man, he left
behind a wonderful legacy of courage,
embracing all that life has to offer and
remaining positive regardless of the
challenges that one faces. This year we
have celebrated the life of a true warrior
and angel who was such an inspiration
to all of us. We truly feel blessed to
have known him and shall dearly miss
him. However, as a school and as a
family, his memory is our keepsake and
we shall forever hold him in our hearts
and carry his spirit with us.
‘A butterfly lights besides us like a
sunbeam. And for a brief moment,
its glory and beauty belong to our
world. But then... it flies on again...
and though we wish it could have
stayed, we feel so lucky to have seen it.’
