This year we have been lucky enough to
meet many amazing new people who have
happily been added to Parklands. One of the
biggest highlights of this year was definitely
the Bonamanzi River Camp, where we all
had a lot of fun rowing along the Breede
River and going on midnight hikes. I can’t
begin to explain how incredible this year
has been, not only for me, but also for the
entire class of 10L. 10L has definitely had an
amazing year and has shown great strength
and unity in all of our accomplishments. I
hope that 2014 will be even more amazing
than this year. 10L are legends!

10R has been very successful in the first
two terms of the year.We already knew each
other relatively well, so we worked together
and had an idea of each other’s strengths
and weaknesses. We have such a diverse
class, with top sportsmen and dancers. We
were incredibly proud of the way our class
took part in the recycling drive; everybody
persisted in bringing as many glass bottles
as possible. Our class ended up collecting
the most bottles in the entire College. The
whole grade has been very enthusiastic,
winning the war cries against the rest of the
school, and three of our classes were in the
top three in the College’s point system for
charity and participation.We look forward
to spending the rest of the year together.

10K has participated in numerous
charities for animals and the less privileged
this year. We, as a class, created awareness
about the seriousness of human trafficking.
Our class is also filled with talented people.
We have a South African swimmer; a
Western Province body boarder; incredible
dancers who are jointly talented in jazz,
tap and ballet; exceptional musicians and
wonderful singers and songwriters. Our
class is filled with people who are kind, hard
working, determined and talented.

Grade 10P has grown together as a
family during the last two years. We have a
very diverse class with a variety of netball
players, rugby players, soccer players,
surfers, musicians, dancers and computer
whizzes. There is never a dull moment in
the classroom! We have bonded extremely
well over the year.We have been through a
lot, including: Grade Camp, our awareness
campaign and raising money for charity. All of
our different passions and diverse qualities
allow us to learn new things from each other
and grow stronger, not only as a group, but
also as young individuals who are still finding
ourselves and discovering new things.10P is
the class for me!
