4 Jazz Band in action StageStruck U14 Soccer league winners Of the many cultural events of the past three months, we would like to highlight the jazz band’s participation in the Youth Day celebrations at Artscape and our production of “StageStruck - A night at the musicals”. CULTURE We ended a successful winter season with a number of memorable performances. For the first time ever we had a soccer team winning the league. Congratulations to our U14 Boys! SPORT NEWS Mandela Day We ask every grade to collect 67 items of warm clothing to be distributed to the needy by Rotary. Darling As part of the August Awareness Month initiative, we raised money for the Darling Outreach Foundation. They feed and provide stationery to the needy children in Darling. SERVICE LOOKING AHEAD The World Robot Olympiad National Competition was held at Curro Aurora in Randburg in September. In the Robo Sports Tennis category, our team, Complexities, won a Bronze medal. Team Robodog, our Future Engineers team, have designed a self-driving car to navigate a road simulations course that will meet International score requirements. As a result of their achievement, they have qualified to be part of the South African team to compete in the International World Robot Olympiad competition in Dortmund, Germany from 17 - 19 November.
