This professional certification validates and understanding of the Arduino building blocks, such as the basics of physical computing, electronic circuits, programming, prototyping, mechatronics and Internet of Things. Ruby McCulloch and Declan Saul Satellite manufacturing giant “INTELSAT” in partnership with “MaxIQ Space” aims to inspire teenagers from across the African continent to set their sights on becoming satellite engineers. We are extremely proud of two of our "Parkies", Ruby McCulloch (Grade 11) and Declan Saul (Grade 9), who were initially selected to be part of Mission 1 of the programme. Only thirty learners were selected from the entire African Continent. A series of workshops and assignments followed will culminated in them being announced as part of Mission 2. Each Mission 2 learner will send an experiment to the International Space Station which will be used to collect and measure real scientific data and allow them to participate in real Space science. We wish them all the best! Maya Mthwana Congratulations to Maya Mthwana who was selected to represent the Cape Town Expo Region at ISF (International Science Fair) 2022. Maya investigated the factors and parameters that lead to the Leidenfrost Effect. This is the strange 'beading effect' of liquids on a hot surface. The Eskom Expo ISF is South Africa’s biggest school-level science fair, attracting participants from Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho and Brazil.
