Parents were recently treated to a showcase of exceptional musical talents at the Special Person’s Day and Music Concerts presented by the College. Thank you for the warm words and letters of appreciation for all that we are able to provide for each learner, ensuring they are able to excel in their specific talents and skills. Our matrics celebrated the end of their school career with a formal ball at Kelvin Grove this year, where they arrived in glamour and style and proceeded along the red carpet to the applause of the awaiting crowd. Throughout the year, parents have been afforded an opportunity to glimpse into the learning opportunities available to each learner. They have been captivated by the level of Robotics, Green Screening, Augmented Reality, Art and Design - all of which comprise a day in the life of their children while at College. Thank you to the learners for their enthusiasm and to the parents for their continued support. We would like to acknowledge and congratulate the many learners who have achieved on local and international fronts in Robotics, Mathematics, eSports, Science, Public Speaking, Dance and Sport. It is gratifying to know that so many parents overwhelmingly appreciate the value of high quality independent education. There is no finer gift a parent can bestow upon their child than an outstanding education. I know that for many, sacrifices must be made in order to sustain the type of education that we provide, which is dynamic and in keeping with the latest approaches to teaching and learning. However, these are priceless sacrifices and in time, it is the child who will reap the benefits of such an exceptional opportunity. Looking ahead to the last Quarter of 2022, there is still much to look forward to before the final curtain falls on this year. Our time will be filled with Matric Finals, examinations and tests, Prize Giving events, Honours, Valedictory, and the Pre-Primary Concert and Graduation. Finally, we would like to wish our Matric class of 2022, all the best for their final examinations commencing on 19 October 2022. We look forward to another year of outstanding results. The Parklands College Board of Directors extend their best wishes to all of you. Thank you to our educators for their professionalism, commitment and dedication to each and every learner at the College. Founder’s Message Lorraine Roth QUARTER 3 JUL - SEP 2021
