2019 here we come! Extensive planning and foresight have produced a sporting plan that will take our sporting codes to yet another level. With a renewed commitment to sport we shall enter more teams in local leagues, with the hope that we can move up a league in certain sports and hopefully achieve more representation in Western Province teams. Next year sees a number of tours already in planning: our first Rugby and Netball teams will travel to Ireland in March for our first International sporting tour, while our junior Netball, Hockey and Rugby teams will attend the Southern Sport Cape Tournament at the same time in preparation for the season ahead. The first team Water Polo boys and girls will travel to Knysna in February to compete in the prestigious Oakhill Open Water Chukka Festival. In September the First XI will travel to Knysna for the annual T20 Cricket challenge. Parklands will once again host many sporting events on homeground. To name a few: Past Learners Sports Day in January, annual Netball Festival in April, Western Province South Central Regional Rugby Trials in May, a leg of the Western Province Cross Country League during the season and the WG Grace T20 Challenge towards the end of the year.
