34 | Edition No. 24 | 2021 “Change your thoughts and you change your world.” - NormanVincent Peale What a powerful quote by Norman Vincent Peale and one that is so fitting for our educators and learners today. This has been a year of new discover- ies and learning journeys. The Preparatory embarked on an ex- citing start to 2021 with the learners arriving ready to tackle the academic year before once again commencing our online adventure for a couple of weeks. A shining moment in quarter one is always when we see our Grade One learners enthusiastically begin learning to read and write.Their joy is visible when they put pen to paper and write their first story! In quarter three we embarked on a mammoth task of collecting 670 books as part of our Mandela Day celebrations. Our parents and learners exceeded all expectations and we collected an overwhelming 1500 books which we donated to a neighbouring school in need. PREPARATORY Lee-ann Steynberg Principal
