164 | Edition No. 23 | 2020 Fit Flex is a goal oriented fitness club that focuses on core strength, agility, flexibility and cardiovascu - lar fitness. Fitflex includes warm-ups, yoga, calisthen - ics and Pilates inspired movements, traditional ex - ercises such as squats and pushups, walking, jogging/run - ning and various stretches. Softball Softball continues to be a popular sport for our girls. This year we en - tered eight teams into the Western Province league. Not many schools can boast this progression in the sport of which we are very proud. This sea - son was fun-filled with many games at home and away, with our 1st team per - forming consistently well throughout the season. The highlight for the juniors was us hosting the 2nd edition of this U13 festi - val. This year 8 teams attended and all girls fought hard for local bragging rights. At the end Milnerton Primary were deserving win - ners. We will definitely host this tournament next year. The team of the year is the U15A girls who went unbeaten for the first quarter. Swimming We took part in a number of galas with excellent results. The highlight was com - ing 1st in our leg of the league galas and finally being placed 4th in the league. The commitment of the swimmers is to be com - mended as some swam for their local club, college and in water polo teams. Cybersmart swimming again joined forces with us to deliver very professional coaches during the week. We are very fortunate to have many young provincial swimmers at the College which will definitely increase the profile of our swimming programme. Chess With our vision to diversify our sport at the College, we introduced Chess. We entered a senior team into the Western Province league and this started with prepara - tions to enter a very strong U13 team to the chess league. Chris Boshoff is to be commended on being selected to represent the U16Western Province team at the National Championships in Gauteng in January 2021. Pre-season Rugby/Hockey/Netball Pre-season started in early February in prepa - ration for the Knight Netball tournament,West Coast Festival and Southern Cape Sports Tour. rugby Lockdown fitness compilation video cricket running netball
