This event is without a doubt one of the highlights on the Preparatory Sports Calendar. The Festival included 24 well respected rugby and 30 netball schools from all over the country. The event created the opportunity for our teams to compete at a higher level against new opposition, but also to connect and establish new friendships with players from participating schools. Our teams impressed and kept the Parklands flag flying high with outstanding results. Our learners were not only engaged with festival matches, but enjoyed the festive activities and atmosphere, while also being exposed to fun and relaxing social activities off the field as they visited famous attractions. The memories of this sports tour will remain a highlight for many years to come. CRICKET TOUR U/11 A KWAZULU-NATAL The Parklands U/11 A cricket boys enjoyed a bracing cricketing experience while visiting the green and lush setting of KwaZulu-Natal. Our cricket boys certainly gained valuable experience from this tour which contributed immensely towards the cricketing growth of these 12 boys. Our U/11 cricket team represented their school proudly as they were always smartly dressed and looked the part as a unit. They followed outstanding behaviour standards and maintained excellent cricket etiquette during their school visits. The boys also enjoyed time away from the field in a relaxed atmosphere as they visited tourist attractions in Kwazulu Natal. Our boys learned valuable lessons during the two matches of the tour, but were very quick to convert and competed extremely well throughout as they managed to defeat Highbury Preparatory U/11 B as well as Thomas More U/11 A. Well done to Kyle Warrender for scoring a half century against Highbury. 1 2 3 4 5 6 SPORTS TOURS Preparatory 66. 21st Edition
