Prepartory ICT Learners figuring it out together 1. 2. 3. The corridors in the Preparatory are always abuzz with eager projects taking place or collaboration amongst friends. This is, in part, what creates a joyous atmosphere in our school. There are many nooks and corners where students can add voice recordings, problem solve and design project elements. A new nook to work in, is our much anticipated Prep Innovation Centre. This space is movable and is in constant change, as the learners come and make the space work for them. Tables become taller or shorter, cushions move, desks shift and TV’s tilt: an ever changing space for our ever changing learners. Wondering why is the element of curiosity we love about the Grade One’s. They spent much time discussing ‘why’s’ and were guided in researching the answers. This was a class specific activity and each class shared their projects with each other. Book Creator is always a firm favourite with our Grade Two’s and they had fun completing an interactive eBook about Bees. They needed to apply previously learnt knowledge, collaborate with peers and app smash to complete their book. This task gave them the confidence to go forward and author their own eBooks. Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality are the current trend in education and the Grade Three’s have had an adventure completing Maths challenges in the virtual world. The Grade Three wing was humming with squeals of delight when the world around them was transformed and challenged them to solve word problems. PREPARATORY ICT 62. 21st Edition
