Grade 8 The Grade 8s travelled to Die Waterval campsite near Tulbagh for a few days of luxurious camping. After some team-building exercises that included walking on high ropes, bridge-building and a strategy race to place tyres in an orderly sequence, they welcomed the free- time sessions to have some fun in the huge, beautiful swimming pool, socialise and even participate in some line dancing. The raft-building and floating offered great spectator value and plenty of laughs, as many of the 'sailors' fell in the water. Everyone agreed that Waterval was a fantastic venue and the camp had provided a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, get to know the new teachers and build some spirit for the year ahead! 1.
