3. Our U16B team had a tough start to their season with a lot of challenges thrown their way right from the start. They did very well as a team and gave their best to their new coach, manager and teammates. The U16A team had a very good season and ended in 3rd place overall in their league. U17 The U17 team is a brand new team entered in the league. Although not all the schools in our league had an U17 team, we arranged friendly matches in order for them to get court time as well. They also formed part of the U19B and U16B teams when needed to replace injured learners. U19 The U19A netball team had a bang of a start to the year. Not only did they start their training in January already, but they also squeezed in two festivals before the middle of March in order to be ready for their tour. Together they grew the netball spirit and support for one another, keeping the Parklands flag flying high on court. They performed very well in the first half of the season and continued to do well in the second half of their season. In total they played eight league matches and only lost one. At the end of the season, they finished in second place in the league for the first time since 2015. We are looking forward to the season in 2019. The U19B netball team has had a great start to their season. Although they had very little time to practise together as a team, nothing stood in their way. They won most of their matches and definitely did not stand back for any of their opponents. 145. parklands.co.za
