HOCKEY Hockey at Parklands continues to rise to new heights every year. This year we are proud to have fielded three hockey teams for the first time: U14, U15 and U19. There was an exciting, early start to the hockey season this year, as the touring teams started practising from the beginning of February already. Our U19 team, the Pythons, together with our U16 team, toured to George in April, where they played ten matches in total. This was definitely a great kick-start to their upcoming season. This pre-season tournament prepared them physically and emotionally for what was to come. With the positivity of our coaches, managers and players it was bound to be a very good hockey season indeed. All three our hockey teams played most of their matches on Astro in order for them to rise to the same level as their more experienced opponents. 143. parklands.co.za
