We are delighted to present you with the twenty-fourth edition of our annual College Magazine. We invite you to share in the special memories captured on every page as they tell the sto- ry of innovation, discovery, optimism and hope for tomorrow. According to Wikipedia, the term innovation is broadly used for renewal or change, although it actually refers to the creation of better or more effective process- es, technologies or ideas that are accepted by society. It also states that innovation generally signi- fies a substantial positive change compared to merely incremental steps. This kind of substantial change and innovation is evident across the College as we have worked together during this phase of recovery, drawing inspiration from those around us and adapt- ing our teaching and learning to fit our new environment. Despite the adversity, and the uncertain times in which we find ourselves, our learners have exhibited an extraordinary level of resilience and have achieved outstanding results at home and on the international platform. We reaffirm the im- portance of every achievement and applaud them for their success! The learners who are the heart of our school, make the challenges we face each day all worthwhile. I would like to compliment our principals and staff for their hard work, as well as the support, dedication and commitment they have shown to the College. We are who we are, as a result of their passion for teaching and the care they show for every child. Thank you! As parents, much of what we do and the decisions we make are driven by the unconditional love we have for our children, in the hope that we will always be able to give our best in or- der for them to be better than we are; to face fewer obstacles than we faced, and to be stronger and more successful than we could ever be in this rapidly changing world and new tomorrow. As parents we acknowledge that we are partners in the education- al journey of our children, despite the different roles we play. Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s future. We wish our Matric class of 2021 fare- well and encourage them to be true to themselves, have the courage to follow what they believe to be right, make the most of their abilities, play their part where they have a contribu- tion to make, and give back to society as much as they take from it. Always remembering to tread lightly on our planet in order to con- serve our world for the next generation. Go forward, Class of 2021 and enjoy the challenges that await you. Have great hopes and dare to go all out for them. Your Blood Runs Blue! In closing, I would like to thank our Board for their commit- ment to our vision and for their ongoing support of this incred- ible place of teaching and learning. Reaching Outwards, Growing Minds, Building Futures Lorraine Roth “Have great hopes and dare to go all out for them. Have great dreams and dare to live them. Have tremendous expectations and believe in them.” Norman Vincent Peale
