Magazine 2018

Grade 12 The Class of 2018’s long-awaited final camp was along the Orange River. It was an exhilarating way to kick off the Matric year. While on the Orange River, they had to trade in their books for oars and their comfy beds for nights under the stars. Lasting friendships were forged and unforgettable memories were made. The beauty of the contrast between the river and the adjacent desert, as well as the incredible rock formations create lifelong memories. What makes this camp different from all the others over the years is the fact that it allows for plenty of quiet time and deep meaningful conversations to ponder over the final year at school and the unknown thereafter. The incredible food on offer along the river banks, the relaxed programme run by Bundi, the tired arm muscles… all contributed to a few fun-filled days, that will not be easily forgotten. 1.
