Further Education The early years are the most important years for holistic development in young children and recent research has shown that these formative years are a predictor for success in later life. In order to ensure good quality education for Pre-Primary learners in South Africa, Parklands College will be expanding into Further Education Parklands College Further Education is committed to serving and educating students from all communities and offering an integrated learning experience in order to train and nurture top quality Early Childhood Development practitioners. Our lecturers have a wealth of teaching experience in the Early Childhood Development field and students will have the opportunity to complete their practical and work experiences at Christopher Robin Pre- Primary where they will be exposed to world class teaching and learning experiences. On successful completion of the course, students will receive an Occupational Certificate: Early Childhood Development Practitioner, Level 4 from the Quality Council for Trade and Occupations and will be qualified to work as a Practitioner with children from birth to age five in early childhood centres or to open their own home based centre. Parklands College Further Education is currently investigating opportunities for future development into other spheres of training and development which will suit our current learner needs.
