School Information

Joshua Reaper
Each learner is required to wear the full College uniform from Grade 1. Pre-Primary learners may wear the school track suit and sporting attire. Personal presentation is an aspect of excellence. Learners are readily identifiable by their uniform and parents must support the College by ensuring that the uniform is worn with care and pride at all times. More information regarding the uniforms is available in the Parklands Directory, which is provided to the learners each year. New and used school uniforms are available from:
ARC SPORTSWEAR, c/o Mansell & Scheckter Road, Killarney Gardens.

GOVERNANCE
Parklands College operates through two legal entities namely, Roth Education Services (Pty) Ltd (“RES”) T/A Parklands College and Christopher Robin Pre-Primary (Est. 1980) and Rosevean Investments 0052 (Pty) LTd (“Rosevean”).
Parklands College is managed by a Board of Directors represented by the Managing Director. Audit, remuneration and scholarship committees, together with various management committees, top and middle, operate in conjunction with the Board to manage and administer the academics and daily operations of the College. The Board of Directors subscribes to the values of good corporate governance, espoused in the King II report. In so doing, the Directors recognise the need to conduct the College with integrity and in accordance with generally acceptable corporate practices.
The Principals and educators liaise closely and are able to provide parents with information regarding all aspects of College life. The College actively encourages parents to join and participate in one of the varied portfolios, as listed below, thus enhancing the learning environment for each learner.
The Parent Outreach Society (by election only): To support and provide assistance with outreach projects and selected community projects. Many of these efforts can be directed through our Interact Society (Rotary).
The Media Centre: Enhancing our resources, assisting our librarian, promoting books, assisting with projects and exhibitions.
Festivals and Functions: Cultural and sporting festivals, parent gatherings, assisting the PCOS (Parklands College Outreach Society), assisting with productions and performances, set design and the manufacturing of costumes.
To participate in a portfolio, kindly contact a faculty Principal.
